Welcome to my Home page. My name is Renato Simoes Silva.
I'm working in the Fluid Mechanics Numerical Simulation Group
(SiMEF)
at The National Laboratory of Scientific Computations
(LNCC).
I'm a PhD. candidate at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro
(UFRJ)
Brazil.
Research Area is Computational Fluid Dynamics with special interest in:
- Distributed Computing
- Domain Decomposition Methods
- Adaptive Methods ( h, h-p)
- Load Balance
- Multigrid
- Petrov-Galerkin Formulations
By now I am using a collection of workstations connected by FDDI using PVM, But
in the near future I will change to
MPI.
I'm solving Compressible Navier-Stokes and Euler equations,
using the Additive Scharwz Method acelereted by GMRES method.
