3rd LNCC Meeting on computational modeling 2008 - Petrópolis, Brazil: August, 11-15

We are organizing the 3rd LNCC Meeting on Computational Modeling - at LNCC in Petropolis, from August 11 to 15, 2008, with the main goal is every two years to provide the interaction among internal research groups, guest collaborators, and graduate students from LNCC and others institutions, looking forward to identify new challenges in areas of competence of this research unit.

Previous editions of this event were held in August 2004 and August 2006 with the aim of creating a forum where recent developments and the state of the art in computer modeling could be discussed and widespread in recognized LNCC's R&D areas, strongly supported by funding agencies.

By this 3rd edition of the meeting, LNCC expects to consolidate this as a forum of researchers with specific skills to face challenges that arise often in solving genuinely interdisciplinary problems of great significance for the national scientific and technological development.

Since its creation in 1980, LNCC has been acting in an integrated manner aiming at the coordination of interdisciplinary activities in Research, Development and Training of Human Resources on Computational Modeling. In August, during the 3rd Meeting on Computational Modeling LNCC we will be reaffirming this interdisciplinary character.
