Membrane Web Pages
The problem of membrane oscillation is reviewed under the new viewpoint of a
computer algebra system. Three shapes are analyzed: circular, rectangular and ringlike. The pedagogical importance of introducing the
computer algebra system as an aid in the classroom is discussed. The boundary
that limits the presentation of simple problems in undergraduate courses can be
enlarged to include more realistic problems.
