Resumo: Fluid mechanics in biovessels aims either to develop simple and representative model (SRM) or to be a primary component of computer-aided medical tools. Educational tools (first goal) are used mainly in physiology and in pathophysiology. SRM are based on the classical philosophical principles in physics modelling. Mechanisms of specific flow phenomena are thus revealed. Numerical simulations of biofluid flows must be associated to cybermedicine, in particular for tools used in interventional medecine because numerical tests of biofluid flow during whole physiological cycles in vascular segment of interest ensure better therapy (environment-based therapy).
