Resumo: Models of Carl Woose's Ancestral Commune theory of evolution and Lynn Margulis' Endosymbiosis Evolutionary Theory will be considered. The differential geometric theory of systems of second order ODEs (known as KCC theory) is the basic mathematical tool. A brief introduction and a worked example will be presented.
