Optimization of Execution and Power Consumption of HPC Applications
E-mail: arcos@lncc.br
Tipo de evento: Workshop
The aim of this workshop is to open discussions on optimization
techniques for scientific applications in order to be efficiently
executed on HPC architectures (cluster, multicore, GPU, Xeon Phi).
Simulation of physics problems in 3D (seimic, materials...) requires
new approaches for modeling and resolution with original numerical
methods. The implementation of these approaches and methods is complex
and generates at running irregular computations. New optimization
techniques are to study to take into account this irregularity. It
will also be necessary to optimize energy consumption executions of
these applications for the next generations exaflopic computing
platforms.
The output of this workshop would be to initiate new research
collaborations between Brazilian and French organizations on these
topics.
