Short Biography


Paulo Esquef  received the Engineering degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 1997, the M.Sc. degree from COPPE/UFRJ in 1999, and the D.Sc. (Tech) degree from Helsinki University of Technology, now Aalto University, in 2004, all in Electrical Engineering. His research interests are in digital signal processing and related applications to audio and acoustical signal processing, analysis, synthesis, and modeling of acoustical and electrical signals. Dr Esquef is currently an adjoint researcher at the Department of Mathematical and Computational Methods (COMAC), at the National Laboratory of Scientific Computing (LNCC), Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovations, MCTI, Brazil. In 2019, Dr. Esquef integrated the organizing committee of the XXXVII Brazilian Symposium on Telecommunications and Signal Processing, as technical committee chair of the signal processing area.
